Electric Scrap

A weight of 1, and three exits

The wiki calls Electric Scrap a rare resource and gives it weight 1, the same lightness as plastic waste and much kinder on the town scale than metal plates at 7. That weight is one source. I trust it enough to print because the page actually contains a number, unlike the stubs. Origin is the Recycler, fed with electro junk, from the April 2025 electronics thread. The wiki’s use line is Generator, Battery and Solar Panel. The same thread plus the codex add a fourth exit: the Electro Crafter, where this scrap meets Metal Scrap and becomes Eel-ectronics. So the pile you recycle can be spent as a raw part or promoted into the crafted component. I do not know the conversion ratio. “Some junk becomes some scrap” is as precise as the sources get.

Electro junk itself is what you pull out of city and factory points of interest. Which ruin type drops more is not tabulated. If a loot list in your head says “fridges”, that is not a source I can cite. Sail the industrial edge, recycle, and watch the rare-resource stack.

Spend it twice in your head before you spend it once

The opening guides tell you to leave batteries and loose electronics on the beach until storage exists. That advice is about inventory clutter, not about this item being useless. Once the Recycler is up, Electric Scrap is the bottleneck for the entire power branch. A Manual Generator can be framed in planks and floaters. The machines that replace it want this scrap. I would recycle junk before I spend the resulting scrap on a decorative solar panel if the town still has no battery, but that is a priority, not a recipe. The power page holds the Eel outputs.
