Flotsam Fishing
Start with a Fishing Chair, then move up to a Fishing Boat. Three fish tiers — Nibbler, Gobbler, Flounder — feed different recipes. Dry the catch or unbottle it so the town stays cleaner.

Chair, then boat
The building codex prices a Fishing Chair at 2 floaters and 1 plank, and it produces bottled fish. A Fishing Boat is 6 floaters, 8 planks and 2 metal plates, described as more efficient than rowboats. I do not have a fish-per-hour for either, so “more efficient” stays a qualitative line from the codex. Fish sticks can dry five fish at a time. An Unbottler strips the pollution off a bottled fish and returns 1 plastic. A Fish Washer cleans catch that would otherwise sit dirty in the yard.
Both the Quick Start and the survival guide treat fish as the food that outlasts seaweed patches. Seaweed is the emergency ration. Fish is the job you industrialise. The three tiers, confirmed by the food guide and the Korean specialist notes, are Nibbler, then Gobbler, then Flounder. Farms that raise them belong to the Aquaculturist and are written up with the food numbers, not repeated as a second calculator here.

What I will not invent
Bait, school respawn timers and catch rates are absent from the guides I read. A Portuguese search for “pescar” is the same question: chair first, boat second, three species. If a video shows a fourth fish, I have no second source for it and it stays off this page.
Questions
Chair or boat first?
Chair. It is two floaters and a plank. The boat wants metal plates you may not have in the first hour.
How do I stop fish from polluting the town?
Dry them on fish sticks or run them through the Unbottler, which also returns plastic.
