Purple water and the cloud

A pollution-management guide describes purple toxic zones. Running an Electric Desalinator inside one throws up a poison cloud. Leave the zone and the cloud does not follow. A December 2025 Steam thread calls parts of this a bug: players wrote that the Doctor can cure the sickness, and that filters and a sleep respirator only matter while people are asleep. One report says making someone sick and then curing them clears the pollution bar. I date that thread 5 Dec 2025. I do not declare it fixed or unfixed in 1.0.1f7, because the patch notes I read do not name this symptom.

Filters, respirators, houses

Houses take an Air Filter. Tier 1 wants carbon, mushrooms and medicine, and the guide lists a 200% reduction per sleep. Tier 2 comes off the Doctor quest and is listed at 400%. The Sleep Respirator is a separate item that players say only reduces intake during sleep. A single-person hut is cheaper to upgrade, so it is the fast way to cover more sleepers. The Portuguese search about a respirator for sleeping matches this item, which is why it lives here instead of as its own entity page. Exact pollution gained per cycle is not printed. I will not invent a bar percentage.
