Three circles and a battery
Press M. The wiki describes three circles: how far a drifter can swim, how far you can see, and how far the town can travel on the energy it is holding. Starting stored energy is listed at 1,000. Each battery adds 2,500. Those are wiki figures, one source. Weight bands — plus 50, 100, 150, then 200 percent movement cost — are the same page the layout guide quotes. I am not repeating the whole band table. If the outer circle shrinks after you built a warehouse, you got heavier, you did not lose a battery.
There is no official map image I can redraw, and I am not tracing a map from another guide site. World size and biome odds are unpublished. This page is the legend, not a chart.
Two regions that did not exist in Early Access
The 1.0 notes add Industry, described with polluted goop, electric eels and dangerous water, and the Polluted Woods, split into a healthier half and a polluted half. Landmarks replaced the older word “ruins”. A swimming drifter or a salvage boat can work a landmark, and the same sites are where you pick up people and seagulls. Distance achievements give a sense of scale without a kilometre value: Boatie at 50,000, Captain at 200,000, Around the World in 80 days at 42,000 inside 80 days. I do not know the unit. I print the achievement numbers and leave the unit unnamed rather than calling them metres.
